The most crucial misses in football history
  1. Fernando Torres – Chelsea vs Manchester United 2011 :

Fernando Torres was one deadly striker when he played for Liverpool under Rafa Benitez. It was surprising how he went on to join Chelsea and many predicted to repeat similar performances with the Blues. But to everyone’s disappointment, Torres had just lost his instincts and his magic upfront. One such incident was when Chelsea met Manchester United at the Stamford Bridge in 2011. Torres did well to beat past goalkeeper David De Gea with the entire goal unprotected and open to shoot at. It was then that Torres missed to fire the ball on target, adding more misery to his poor form.
