The greatest number 7s in the history of football

7.Robert Pires

Arsenal great Robert Pires have been at the Highbury for only 6 years, but that was enough for him to be hailed as one of the greatest in the club’s history.

Shot to stardom post France’s World Cup and Euro Cup success in 1998 and 2000 respectively, Pires joined The Gunners in 2000 and until 2006 when he donned the famous red and white jersey, led the North-Londoners to 3 FA Cups and 2 Premier League titles, including the memorable 2003/04 season when Arsenal were unbeaten for the entire campaign.

Pires had such an impact in 6 years that he was voted as the 6th greatest Arsenal player by the fans.

George Best!!! Really!!. Know more for his drinking and women than his football.

    Raul? Shevchenko@ACM?

  • Fadhil Nugraha

Cheap article. World Cup was in 1974. Even in 1970 Garrincha was already retired from Selecao. As far as I know, it was Garrincha who was not participating and made Brazil lost the 1966 without qualifying from the group stage.
